NISP Wins British Expertise Award for Global Environmental Impact

International Synergies Limited received the Global Environmental Impact Award of the Year at the British Expertise International Awards for its flagship project, the National Industrial Symbiosis Programme (NISP).
November 2008 sees the completion of the ISL led circular economy pilot in the Yunnan Province of China. Commissioned by the UK Government as part if its Sustainable Development Dialogues, the project has seen the ISL team working with representatives from the Environment Agency and Envirowise over the past 18 months to help government and businesses in the province improve sustainable consumption and production practices through the application of industrial symbiosis, the introduction of modern regulation techniques and cleaner production methodologies.
