Paul Knuckle - International Development Director

Paul has overall responsibility for the development and delivery of ISL’s international programmes.

Paul started his career with BT, initially as an engineer, then moving to account management supporting BT’s major customers in the public and private sectors. After a degree in Environmental Resource Management, Paul became Head of Local Food Programmes at the Soil Association where he was responsible for the development of local food markets in the UK, such as organic box schemes. He was also responsible for creating and chairing the National Association of Farmers Markets and was a partner in setting up lottery funds that supported local food, farming and community waste groups.

Paul has held directorships with Sustain, the alliance for better food and farming and the National Recycling Forum.
