Hosting a Taiwanese Delegation from Shalun Green Energy Park

Shalun Smart, Green, and Circular Economic Residential Park

We were delighted to work with the UK Government’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) host a Taiwanese delegation on Tuesday 20th March 2018. The delegation from Shalun Green Energy Park is seeking international collaboration, research, development and best practices in the UK to inform the development. Visitors included Prof.Der-Ray, Huang, Director General from Shalun, Dr.Chao-Ho, Lan of Shalun, Ms.Li-Hsia Huang, CEO of Taiwan Sugar Association, Prof. Jiun-Huei Proty Wu, Director from Science and Technology Division and Ms.Cindy Hsu, Senior Prosperity Officer of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

The planned Shalun Green Energy Science Park, Taiwan, is a development that will take consideration of green energy, green building, intelligence, and the concept of circular economy, to build a smart green energy circulation residential park. As part of a week’s agenda, site visits were arranged to explore renewable technology facilities, including looking at gasification technologies with Aston University’s European Bioenergy Research Institute (EBRI) and Severn Trent Green Power’s food waste recycling facility (anaerobic digestion).
