In an enlightening session within the acclaimed Action Coach® Black Country Business Spotlight series, our Chairman, Peter Laybourn, was cordially invited to share the journey and ethos of International Synergies Ltd (ISL), illustrating how our initiatives have been pivotal in catalysing industrial symbiosis across the globe.

Peter delivered an enlightening lecture to the Sustainable Economies Research Group at the University of the West of England on 1st November 2023.

In the interview with Andy Hemming, Peter discusses our processes for industrial symbiosis – which allows companies to trade their waste products and create value in industries in different sectors. Not merely a business but a global broker pioneering in connecting opportunities, ISL was conceived 20 years ago, prophetically pre-dating the mainstream advent of the circular economy.

Peter also imparted his invaluable wisdom regarding ISL’s adaptive responses to the varied environmental and economic shifts experienced over two decades. By embodying agility and fostering a continuous spirit of innovation, the business has not only endured but also thrived, constantly reinventing its processes and strategies.
