Chief Executive
Rachel joined ISL in 2013 as Director of Business Development. With past industry roles at IBM, McKinsey & Co., and, in academia, Yale University and University of Birmingham, she brings over 30 years’ experience in industrial symbiosis, sustainable development and the circular economy.
Rachel’s diverse industrial and academic background is used to great effect working with industry, policy makers, academia and international institutions (European Commission, World Bank Group, UN etc.) to further the implementation of industrial symbiosis across the globe.
As an expert in the field and experienced facilitator Rachel is in high demand for both speaking and facilitation.
In January 2023, Rachel was promoted to Chief Executive to further strengthen International Synergies’ position as the leading impact-oriented business facilitating carbon and cost savings for organisations around the world.
In addition to direct delivery of industrial symbiosis Rachel leads on the development of ISL’s award-winning resource matching software, SYNERGie® and ISL’s training, consultancy and thought leadership offerings.
