Over the moon to be shortlisted for Sustainability Innovation Champion of the Year in the prestigious Innovation Awards as recognition of our work supporting our clients and collaborators on their sustainability journey. In the last year ISL has had the privilege to support UK SMEs and corporates, alongside our international work with Bangladesh, Egypt, Turkey, Uzbekistan (our 50th country) among others. We’ve also continued our work through the European Commission, currently as Technical Lead for the Hubs 4 Circularity Community of Practice.

Innovation grants through HS2 and OFWAT have enabled ISL to deliver workshops and consultancy projects, supporting the holistic integration of an industrial symbiosis approach into their supply chains and organisational processes from strategy to operations. Our consultancy projects have researched new opportunities to reduce the cost and carbon associated with aluminium and glass packaging through new technologies and alternative raw materials. Our chairman influenced the UK research agenda as chair of the UK Manufacturing Symbiosis Network Plus, a UKRI project to foster IS in the UK led by Aston University. ISL continues to support IS research for UK industry through our role in TransFIRe, a UKRI project targeted at reducing the carbon impact of UK foundation industries.
